Sunshine beanie

I was thinking of making a beanie! It was headbands for some time.  The pattern is made with double crochets and single crochets. However, the result is a very textured and interesting triangle design. This airy pattern can be made using different colours to create stripes too.

It took me a while to come up with the stitch count for the design. This is a free gift for those love to create textured beanies for the next Christmas markets.

I know, it is the beginning of spring.

But in Toronto, we are expecting more snow this week.  Perhaps you would really like a warmer beanie! What is your preference for now?

Strawberry Ice Cream & Chocolate Crochet Headband | Free Pattern & Tutorial

Stop making boring headbands! Today on Crochetsmash, I’m sharing my favorite "delicious" project: The Strawberry Ice Cream & Chocolate Tie-Back Headband.

This project uses a unique "No-Cut" colorwork technique, meaning you can swap between pink and dark brown without cutting your yarn or weaving in a million ends at the end! It features the beautiful Granny Cluster paired with a DC Crossover stitch for a rich, 3D texture.

If you like PDF pattern, it is available in my Ko-Fi shop

Special features of this pattern:

  • Adjustable Fit: The tie-back style means one size fits everyone from toddlers to adults.

  • No-Waste: Use up your scrap yarn in pink and brown.

  • Pro Finish: I’ll show you how to encase your yarn ends directly into the border

This pattern has one row of granny clusters and another row of cross-over double crochet or cross-stitch pattern.  How do I get the same stitches on both long ends? Find out that from the video
