How I gained over 1000 subscribers?

My first video was uploaded in November 2023. It has only 12 views. 

I didn't even know I needed a thumbnail for a video. So, several videos later, I discovered I can make thumbnails. 

I was uploading videos whenever I feel like it. 

I was looking on some other channels and they were uploading consistently. 

I tried that. Then I was really got sick last year, right after thanks giving. I couldn't even sit in one place due to my acidity. For almost 4 months, I was in bad shape. Doctors were saying I was severely anemic. I couldn't eat or sleep. Doctors stopped the iron pill because of acidity. Later, I got an iron infusion. Around the same time, my eyesight was going down due to cataract. Anyway, by springtime this year, I was getting better. got the cataract removed. Once the acidity was under control, I started doing crochet. Then I was uploading videos consistently. 

You know, these tutorials are like evergreen. I was making a lot of ear warmers and headbands, in the boho wearable niche.

That is when I noticed my beanies were gaining more views. I started mixing the content. 

Beanies, baby beanies, scarves and cowls... My favourite things to make. 

While uploading tutorial videos, I noticed YouTube has a built-in feature to clip and make Shorts. That brought a different type of audience and subscribers. 

Now I can offer some of my PDF patterns on my Ko-Fi shop. Many are free for monthly subscribers. 

So, if you are a crochet Youtuber, just started, keep going. If you like making videos, go for it. There is enough space for all of us.
