I was busy yesterday, because I was crocheting. It is October and it is getting cold. My daughter was asking for a cap to keep her warm.
I was lazy to begin a crochet cap. Mostly because I can't find the old patterns I used to make caps before. With her insisting and the guilt of mom, motivated me to start a cap in her color choice. She said she don't want anything in purple. She said a black and green would be nice.
I happened to have this sport weight wool yarns in her specific colors. I started making it without a specific patter to follow. I just made it up as I go.
So this is my first crochet cap with my own pattern. I didn't cut the yarn after each round, but carried it.
It looks nice. She wants an ear flap also. But that is for another day, because she cannot wait to wear it.
A happy girl went to school in the green and black crochet hat today.
I took the hat outside to take the picture. I think, it is a good picture. Then my hubby wanted a cap in black. I made that in black acrylic yarn. I am glad I finished both the caps yesterday itself.
Today evening I am going to the class at H&R block. That means, a lot to read....
