I love making double crochet stitches. They give some hight to the stitches.
A double crochet scarf will be faster to finish than a single crochet stitch.
With double crochet, you can create texture by deciding how you place the stitches. They can be front post or back post double crochet. Then why not combine both? Now you will get a basket weave pattern!
