I hold your Heart in My heart: Art Joourrnal page

Todays journal page is a little variation from the poem "I carry Your heart".

The heart was drawn using crayola markers.
I just added layers of paper around it.
Then used acrylic paint on it.
By the way, I learned to make stencil from styrofoam tray.
Another recycle idea.
Just cut a simple flower shape from a cleaned styrofoam tray.
I used some acrylic paint on it to test it yesterday. It still has the dry paint on it. It gives some texture to the stencil.
I glued the stencil to a pin, which I don't want to keep.
Now the stencil has a holder.

In the center of the heart I added a wavy heart cut out from patterned paper, from my stash.

The red flower is crocheted by me.
I cheated on not buying new things... I bought few foam stamps and acrylic paint from dollar store. The stamps are nice. The paint costs me $1.50. Dollarama has increased prices, you know. I bought the cheapest one. The problem is the paints are hardened and not usable at all... What a waste of money... I am sad.

But, hubby gave me a set of watercolour paints which he was having for some time.( He was trying to learn painting and gave up... Long story.)
Coming back to the journal page...Can you see the little feather on the left bottom corner???
I cut it out from my patterned paper.
Did you see the feather is placed on the flower stenciled using the foam stamp?

That makes me happy. I used a lot of torn paper to layer the page.
I think, I am getting better than I started.
You can see my first journal page here. Do you have any thoughts?

It's really cool the way you're adding crochet to your painting. Crochet and stenciling are both intriguing art forms, and your picture turned out positively lovely.
