Tawashi to wash dishes

Tawashi is a Japanese term. They use tawashi to clean the dishes. A regular yellow sponge with green coarse side on the side, which we usually use to clean the dishes in the kitchen sink is called sponge tawashi by the Japanese people. Now you got the clear idea of what a Tawashi is.
I was looking for corchet patterns and came to this term. Look, what I made!!!
The pattern can be found at Crochetpatternsonly on blogspot.
I am in love with this one. If you can't make one, you can request one through the blog comment or through my Artfire studio.
Now look on this happy tawashi/ scrub cloth.

This one crocheted yesterday through Mr.Funky's pattern found on Craftzine blog.  Isn't it look happy?
I made this one using acrylic yarn. The eyes, nose and mouth are embroidered on a spiral crocheted piece.
I am planning to have lot of these happy faces for Christmas.
The acrylic yarn is better to use on plates and glasses. I love the fact that they can be washed in the dishwasher. They have just enough coarseness to scrub off the food particles from the plates and don't scratch the surfaces. That is an advantage for seeing a happy face while doing the chores. It is flexible enough to use too.
Oh, I forgot to mention that it is a two sided one. The other side is  here:
I made a loop to hang it to dry after using.
